A Professional Design

One of the problems with "do-it-yourself Web sites" is that they often look too much like do-it-yourself Web sites. Even if you do it yourself, it's nice to have some input from a professional graphic designer.

That's why I've chosen a Web host that provides professional templates for your Web site. You get the flexibility of adjusting colours, fonts and layouts; but the underlying templates have been created by professional designers. So you don't have to worry about your site looking ugly, plain or tacky.

During the Boot Camp, I'll also show you how to create an attractive banner at the top of your site, incorporating the site name and your logo or photo. You can choose from some attractive background styles and even add photos and other decorations, as you can see on the banner I've created for this Web site.

This ensures that your site is unique, even if it's using one of the templates provided by the Web host.

Finally, if you do choose to use a graphic designer in the future, they can easily add their design to your Web site. You don't have to throw away the site and start all over again; and you don't have to get locked in to your designer's Web host either.
